Jonathan Turner graduated from Belmont University in 1987 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. He is a member of the Belmont Athletic alumni, served as President of the International Student Association, and continues to stay involved in Belmont athletics at various levels along with supporting the university through financial giving and scholarships.
He is a native of the Nashville area, born and raised. After graduating from Belmont, Jonathan served as a policy analyst to the late Honorable Senator Douglas Henry. He has always been involved in his community and has consistently served as an advocate of the Nashville Rescue Mission and the Tennessee State Museum Foundation to preserve, promote and educate about the history of Tennessee. He currently serves as Chair of the Tennessee Waltz Auction Committee, which assists the state museum in raising funds for the educational programs for children.
Serving as Principal of EllisAmerica, a sales and marketing firm that specializes in pro sport and collegiate licensed products, Jonathan primarily works with the SEC and ACC schools. He continues to expand his footprint into other schools and conferences, as well as other segments of the market, representing companies in the resort, tourism and gourmet food industries.
Jonathan would be a tremendous addition to the Nashville Metro Council because he brings with him the experience in community, business and political arenas, which can help promote and build District 19 further for our community. His vision for Nashville has been to always reflect on the past, experience the present, and prepare for the future.
He is committed to Nashville, District 19, and you.
Jonathan Turner will fight for the interests we care about in District 19 and the change we want to see in Nashville! Vote Thursday, August 3!
